Service Description

Enjoy a "Private Day Trip" on a fantastic shore excursion to one of Jamaica's historical town, Falmouth. Visit the landmarks and highlights of the important Jamaican city, with an informative commentary from your local guide along the way. Have a hassle free day trip and shopping highlights today!

This tour begins directly from your hotel, or villa where your friendly driver/guide will meet you.  Take a 45-minutes scenic drive to the town of Falmouth.  During this ride, your driver/guide will point out sites of interest and give you insights about Jamaica's history.

Surrounded by sugar estates and cattle land, Falmouth is one of the Caribbean's best-preserved Georgian towns. Once a leading port, the town offers excellent examples of 19th-century Georgian architecture including a faithful restoration of the courthouse. Greenwood Great House is a major tourist attraction in the area. Built in 1790 by Richard Barrett, a relative of poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning, the Great House is now a museum with period furniture and a rare collection of musical instruments and Wedgwood china. You will also venture into the local residential communities where you will get to see how the people live and visit historical sites.

After this you may wish to spend an hour at the beach. You can make a optional stop at Scotchies and try out some real Jamaican jerk before heading back.
